By saying, "Those whom You gave Me, I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition" (John ), is Jesus saying. In John KJV Jesus, in reference to Judas Iscariot, says that of all his disciples, none has been lost except the "son of perdition".

The Son of Perdition is a name given to Judas (John ) and to the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians ). This is the well-known Hebrew idiom by which a person typically embodying a certain trait or character or destiny is called the son of that thing. The name therefore represents Judas and the Antichrist (see MAN OF SIN) as most.

Jesus mentions the “son of perdition” in His high priestly prayer in John While praying to the Father for His disciples, Jesus mentions that He “protected them and kept them safe” and that none of them were lost except the “son of perdition,” that.

Son of Perdition deserves one It doesn't have much of Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel, and the weird heaven stuff, and that is a big improvement. And despite I'm not a big fan of the conspiracy theories, at least it keeps the storyline interesting and fast/5.

The apostle John further portrays Judas Iscariot as “a devil” [John ] and a “thief” [John ], as one who was motivated and possessed by Satan [John27], and as “the son of perdition” [John ].

One biblical scholar commented, “It is as though the evangelists could not paint this man black enough in retrospect.”. Among those chosen to be Jesus’ disciples was a man by the name of Judas Iscariot. We do not know any-thing about his life before he was a disciple.

The name of Judas’ father was Simon [ John He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

I was book-marking like crazy. The author has her fingers on the pulse of God Himself because this book is so realistically compelling.

You just cannot put it down it is so riveting. Satan's stupidity and God's genius are a blaring sign in the book /5(). A few nights later, Jesus is in the garden, verse 2: “Judas also, who betrayed Him, knew the place, for Jesus often resorted there with His disciples.” Judas not only profaned the Passover with blood money, he profaned the secret, private place of devotion for our dear Lord.

He profaned friendship. The lost gospel: the quest for the Gospel of Judas Iscariot by Herbert Krosney (Book) The lost and undone son of perdition. That one was Judas Iscariot (John ).
